as shot
with DxO
This shot almost didn't make the cut to be included in my new book, but the more I see it, the more I like it. The opposite is normally true as increasing familiarity usually makes an image seem increasingly ordinary. To easily see what DxO does to correct distortion in an image, scenes with straight parallel lines or a horizon are useful. Most of the images I've included here don't have any straight lines or predictable geometrical shapes that instantly demonstrate the corrections, yet the fact that each still benefits tremendously from the process, speaks volumes for what is actually being accomplished by the software.
