If images had soundtracks, you’d be listening to the deafening bellow of this ship’s foghorn, which the helmsman in the center window of the bridge is blowing at me furiously.  We both survived.

The 1000 Islands isn’t simply a waterway for recreational boaters, but a portion of the St. Lawrence Seaway, which allows ships from around the world to penetrate as far as Minnesota, over 2300 miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean.
