
DxO Labs Embedded Imaging Solutions Overview
DxO Labs Embedded Imaging product portfolio integrates a range of image processing and extended depth of field technologies for embedded imaging applications such as camera phones. These solutions feature the most advanced optics and processing technologies, combined with DSC class image processing. They are available for implementation as licensed RTL with low gate counts small implementation size requirements tailored to meet the demands requirements of many different embedded applications.
Our portfolio is articulated into three product lines:
- The DxO IPE (Image Processing Engine) line of solutions combines the newest digital optics technology which supports low light lens designs, enhanced depth of field designs and low profile lens designs together with DSC class image processing performance for the best overall low light image performance available.
- The DxO ISP (Image Signal Processing) line provides the DSC class image processing without the digital optics implementation
- The DxO DOP (Digital Optics Processing) line provides the digital optics processing without the image processing functions

All of the solutions are implemented using DxO’s proprietary, highly configurable and programmable SIMD processor core (DxO IPC) and are extremely power, space and form factor efficient. The solutions are available to be embedded on CMOS imaging sensor chips, on companion chips inside camera modules, or on baseband or application processor chips.
