JR is an award-winning Chicago-based wedding photographer specializing in wedding reportage. He has been capturing memorable images for over 20 years and has been covering weddings in the US and Canada for over a decade. His images have appeared in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Modern Bride Chicago, Florida, and SoCal Editions, USA Today, Chicago Social, Photo Sélection, and TV Guide.
To advance the photography industry, JR also advises the management of cutting-edge software companies and camera manufacturers on how to realign their business models to harness the full potential of digital technologies. He also conducts beta-testing for new software prior to release. He is a sought after speaker on various photography topics including: his exclusive truArt(TM) process, workflow, digital darkroom techniques, as well as innovative marketing and pricing techniques.
Prior to pursuing wedding photography, JR earned his MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, completed the Wharton School Multi-National Marketing and Management Program, and earned an Engineering degree from the University of Toronto. He is also a Certified Management Consultant (C.M.C.) as well as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
