Decades of Silicon Design Experience
The DxO Labs Embedded Imaging silicon designs are based on a proprietary programmable, scalable and configurable SIMD core (DxO IPC) specifically optimized for the low-power execution of image-oriented algorithms.
The design team behind this architecture has many decades of experience with this architecture. This experience has allowed DxO Labs to implement specific methodologies to easily handle parameters in design. This includes the development of two languages capable of expressing any kind of RTL design variations based on parameter values and a fully automated validation & production environment that follows the parameter values.
Key Design Attributes
- Customer specific parameter handling based on their constraints, such as resolution. This allows a common design and methodology approach to be used across multiple customer projects, thereby allowing DxO to provide customized solutions much faster than the traditional hardwired approach.
