DxO Analyzer provides acomprehensive measurement set in a turn-key solution to quantify the image quality of any image capture device. Measurements include texture preservation, color fringing, video analysis, video and still image stabilization, exposure characterization, color fidelity and sensitivity, white balance accuracy, multi-point and bi-directional modulation transfer function (MTF), field-wide sharpness, depth of focus, dynamic and tonal range, exposure, ISO speed, noise (SNR, fixed pattern characterization, color noise), low light measurement protocol, distortion, lateral and longitudinal chromatic aberrations, light and color 2D vignetting, astigmatism, flash intensity and uniformity.
Targets and protocols are designed to ensure automatic detection and analysis of the target patterns. Automation is also possible using an image of a real scene in tandem with a color chart, thus permitting the analysis of a camera's color performance under real photographic conditions.
Obtaining measurements at the component level for both RAW and JPEG/MPEG makes it possible to evaluate the image quality of the optics and the sensor separately from that of the image processing pipe.
