Light leaks

Simulate film cartridge light leakage

DxO FilmPack 4 now lets you simulate light leaks that are caused by accidental exposure of film to light. This effect produces areas of overexposure or color saturation in the form of lines that are parallel to the edges of the image.

Choose the type of effect that you want to apply to your image, and then adjust its intensity and its position in the image.

Make your photos stand out

Blur vignetting

Reduce the depth of field

Apply a blurred effect to the perimeter of your image in order to draw attention to your subject. DxO FilmPack 4 lets you simulate the loss of depth of field.

Center the effect on your subject and then fine-tune all the parameters: intensity, radius, transition, roundness, and diffusion.

Snapshots

An even smoother workflow

DxO FilmPack 4 (Expert Edition) offers a new feature that lets you take snapshots of your image during the course of processing.

You can revisit the corrections applied to an image or use them later for side-by-side comparisons to immediately evaluate the effects of different settings on your image.

Favorite presets

Quick access to your favorite renderings

Find the presets that you most frequently use in the new Favorites tab. Just click on the star icon at the top of the thumbnail of the preset that you want to select, and it will automatically be displayed in the Favorites tab. No more need to keep scrolling through the presets pane to find what you want!

Printing

Save time by using DxO FilmPack 4’s print module: process your image, and then print it directly from the application.

Restore in just a few clicks all the emotion of art prints, and perfectly reproduce all the settings you’ve applied to your images — presets, effects, toning, etc.

Redesigned interface

Faster mastery

Entirely redesigned, DxO FilmPack 4’s user interface makes it easier for you to more freely explore the available renderings and settings, and to master the software more quickly.

The controls panel has also been completely redesigned: a button lets you switch between and display only the controls for color film or those for black & white. The tool palettes have been restructured to group all the correction settings in one tab, and all the effects in the other.
