DxO Optics Pro's Tour

DxO Optics Pro has been designed to be easy-to-use and efficient in terms of workflow, which is particularly important for busy photographers with a lot of pictures to process. The user-interface is organized around four tabs that lend themselves to a logical, sequential approach, even though you can move freely between them at any moment.

Selecting images to be processed

Selecting images to be processed

Everything starts in the “Select” tab, by selecting images you want to process and dropping them in the filmstrip window. You can then simply click on "Process Now" and let DxO Optics Pro take care of everything painlessly and automatically — this is the quickest and simplest way to start enhancing your pictures!

Adjusting image corrections

The “Prepare” tab is the place where more advanced users will probably want to take advantage of some or all of DxO Optics Pro’s sophisticated correction adjustment possibilities, and/or make use of the time-saving "presets" facilities.

At this stage it is also possible to:

  • edit images with a color code (Green for images to be processed, Red for images not to be processed, Orange for image which status hasn’t been decided – color by default that leads to image processing)
  • create virtual copies (snapshots) of images, in order to create several corrected versions of the same images.
  • And much, much more

Processing a batch of images

As soon as you are satisfied with the presets and settings you have applied to your selected images, you can move on to the “Process” tab where you specify where you want corrected images to be saved, under which format, at which resolution. Once this has been set, you hit the “Start” button and DxO Optics Pro processes your images.

Viewing the results!

Naturally enough, once processing is finished, you will want to view your images, and the ”Review” tab will let you compare your pictures before and after correction. Of course, if you think you could do even better, there’s nothing at all to stop you re-processing one or more images so that you can apply subtly different settings etc.

You will find here additional information about how to use DxO Optics Pro.
