How to use Presets

| Apply | Import/exchange | Personnalize/create your own DxO Presets |

Apply

You can apply a DxO Preset during the following steps in the course of your work:

  • When you import images into the tab field “Select”, a preset is automatically applied to a selection of images (one, several, or all). You can change this DxO preset by choosing from the drop-down menu.
  • In the “Personalize” tab , you can can apply a DxO Preset by using the drop-down menu.
  • In both the “Select” and “Personalize” tabs, you can apply a DxO Preset or a personalized preset to a selection of images (one, several, or all) by right-clicking directly onto the selection.

Tip: To save time and to improve the quality of the final result, put your favorite DxO Presets into the “Select” tab or apply them in a project window that contains a particular set of images chosen because of the look you want to achieve (night shots, landscape, etc.). Afterwards, you can tweak the selections via the “Personalize” tab or again in the Project window, correcting and adjusting image by image, if necessary.

Import/exchange

Each of DxO Presets is, in fact, saved in its own individual file. You can easily exchange Presets with other DxO Optics Pro users.

Personalize/create your own preset

You can personalize an existing DxO Preset by modifying certain settings (for example, boost the saturation for “Landscape – High Key” ) and then saving it under a different name. Or you can create your own DxO Preset from scratch, choosing from among all available settings. You choose a name for your DxO Preset and save it, after which you can choose it from the list of available DxO Presets.
