What is the “Product improvement program?”

In order to improve its software, and subject to your prior approval, DxO Labs would appreciate that you let DxO collect some anonymous data from your computer or from your usage of the software. This data will only be sent to DxO if you have previously agreed to participate in the product improvement program when you accept the Software License Agreement or in the software preferences. Should you change your mind, you can withdraw your consent at any time in the software preferences. In any case, all data will remain anonymous.

If you agree, we will collect some limited information related to:

  • your PC/Mac hardware and operating system configuration
  • the DxO or Nik product version you are using
  • interactions you make with the product such as displaying palettes or using tools
  • image processing you perform such as the number of images processed, processing applied to the images and performance metrics
  • an anonymous ID used to link data related to the different DxO and Nik product licenses your use

DxO values your privacy and therefore does not and will never collect as part of this program:

  • any personal data
  • any processed or unprocessed image
  • any cookie or personal information stored on your PC/Mac
  • any sound or video
  • any location data
