An unexpected honor:
DxO PhotoLab wins the first-ever TIPA Photographers’ Choice Award!

DxO PhotoLab received two prizes from TIPA at the Salon de la Photo event in Paris, marking another award-winning year.

Shortly after marking its twentieth anniversary, DxO has another reason to celebrate. At the TIPA World Awards Ceremony at the Salon de la Photo in Paris, France, DxO PhotoLab won the prestigious “Best Imaging Software Professional” and the first “Photographers’ Choice 2024”. These two prizes mean that PhotoLab has now received ten TIPA awards.

Held by TIPA, the Technical Image Press Association, the TIPA World Awards Ceremony is an annual recognition of the best in photography and imaging products. As they state on their website, the TIPA World Awards “both recognize and honor industry companies and their products and serve as an important benchmark and guide for consumers in making their purchasing decisions.” The Ceremony is highly respected within the photography community and welcomes entries from some of the largest and most innovative brands in photo and imagery products.

TIPA’s recognition of DxO PhotoLab 7 highlighted groundbreaking updates, including enhanced color calibration, a pack of exclusive LUTs, upgraded ColorWheel, monochrome editing excellence, and unmatched DeepPRIME XD noise reduction.

In the wake of DxO PhotoLab 7’s success, DxO launched DxO PhotoLab 8, introducing a host of new features; most notably DeepPRIME XD2s, DxO’s next-level denoising technology. The new release also features live noise reduction previews , hue range masks, a uniquely enhanced tone curve tool, improved lens softness compensation for sharper photos, and several interface updates for an all-around workflow boost.

DxO’s CEO, Jérôme Ménière, was thrilled at what this indicates about professionals’ and consumers’ opinions on DxO’s products: “Receiving recognition from both an established panel of photography experts for Best Imaging Software Professional and from consumer voters on the Photographers’ Choice award was really important for us, as it indicates we’re developing products that both meet the expectations of top-notch professionals while providing the best services possible to our customers.
You can’t hope for much more than that.”
